“Physical Fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity’ John F. Kennedy
Our departmental vision is to ensure that all students are provided with outstanding opportunities to engage and excel in a range of activities and roles so that they develop a passion for lifelong participation in physical activity. PE promotes opportunities for students to be creative, co-operative and competitive and face up to challenging situations both as individual and in groups.
The school has a good range of facilities including a sports hall, fitness suite and swimming pool. These facilities coupled with enthusiastic and well-qualified staff, enable all pupils to have the best possible learning conditions available to them. Pupils showing exceptional talent in a particular sport are given guidance and support in their development, and strong links have been established with local clubs in order that such pupils can realise their full potential.
